Images are everywhere we go
On signs and TV screens we see
On big billboards and computer screens
A light turns red and tires screech
A growling dog and kittens nursing
Children color outside the lines
Two doctors musing over illness
Nurses are rushing for the charts
A gentle breeze combs through the pine trees
Hurricane Andrew rages through palms
A first car coated in dust and rust
A first love with innocence lost
The first cup of coffee and a pen
The morning crossword to assess.
But the images I treasure most
are those of you I keep with me.
