It was like a bolt of lightning
from the sky at speed of light
It filled me with electric sparks
that saved me from the night
You filled my world with wonder
brightening all my dawns
You came and lay beside me
gentle like doe with fawns
You were soft and warm
and held me in your gaze
The magic of our bodies
touching, holding on for days
You can walk away, if that's
what you think you must do
I'm more afraid of losing
than I was of loving you
I will hold you in my heart
and in my evening dream
But it won't be enough
Real as it may seem
It can't replace our loving
or the feelings that were spent
licking, probing, tasting, sucking,
or the memory of your scents
