Love from friendship came
and leapt into our hearts
calling out our names
and giving us a start.
Ne'er saw it coming
a bolt from sunny skies
a fresh sound drumming
and tears were in our eyes.
Love declared so sweet
so pleasant a surprise
knocked us off our feet
with how's and who's and why's.
Loved you yesterday
I thought it was ample
more than that today
but it's just a sample.
This love grows with time
and takes us where we'll go
hearts together chime
a love we'll always know

bright light that I can see
