~No Way Out~
Tears filled my eyes,and hatred filled my heart
as she related the story
of the rape.
And the ensuing intimidation,
extortion,
and blackmail.
And how she sumbitted.
To more rapes,
and that's what they were.
Violations of her freedom,
Assaults on her body,
Incursions on her mind.
From which she saw
No escape,
No release,
No relief.
No peace.
So she stands steeled,
And scared,
And scarred,
and helpless,
As she submits once more.
For she knows
No way out.
