I Still Remember

Remember when we met that day....
and I could think of nothing to say
because your eyes kept probing my soul
...and I was trembling...

Remember when you touched my face
and trailed your fingers past that place
below my ear...along my neck....
...your hands were so tender...

You knew, didn't you, that I wanted you..
that in my youth, I didn't know what to do..
so overwhelmed with what I felt...
..and I trusted you...

I walked with you the marriage hall
you taught me how to give you my all
soaring high above the clouds...
..and I loved you...

You taught me touch, and ecstasy
helped me solve the eternal mystery
of passion in each other's arms....
....you taught me well..

and even though there came the day
it became impossible for me to stay...
and we had to go our separate ways...
....even though it hurt so bad...

Remember I came to see you before you died...
Your face lit up and I felt that warmth inside..
when your eyes again probed my soul...
....and I touched your face....

and told you with my eyes you were still my man
I had loved you as much as a woman can..
my friend, my teacher, my giver of love...
...I still remember...
