~My Inner Room~

by Simona Zamfir

My Inner Room

There are times
when my soul
is scratched by your memory,
There are times
when my thoughts
are enchained by your vision,
A vision
of a drop of dew
sparkling tenderly
on the petal of a white rose
Or a vision
of a drop of blood
laying sacrificed
on a thorn of a red rose
And then... I'm running heated to that room...
An old furnished room...
a dark and dusty room
with a single candle in it...
I start feeding the candle with my desperation,
A desperation which makes the walls come to life...
Shadows
start to move
from corner to corner...
And stories
begin to be told

AGAIN...

Simona is a International Business Administration student at The Academy of Economics Studies the faculty of International Business Administration in Bucharest, Romania. She also has been a fashion model and she writes and sings her own songs. She writes in her own language and in English. She sent me a few of her poems and I was very impressed by her work. This was my favorite. There is a sadness of memory here that I know very well. She is a multi-talented young woman.

Music is "Claire de Lune"
