~ALASKAN WILDLIFE~

There aren't a lot of photos on this page. I didn't get out of the Juneau area, and the opportunities weren't there to see a lot of wildlife. I did, however get to shoot something that had escaped me in other areas. I got my first bear on the way to the Mendenhall Glacier. I was rather surprised to find Blue Heron in Alaska, And the salmon were making their way upstream to spawn. All these photos were shot at the glacier or on the way to it.
I hope you enjoy these photos.

A female Brown Bear strolling across the road

I rushed to get a closer look. She didn't seem to be in a big hurry and I was lucky
enough to get this shot from directly across the road. I was hoping for more, but
some jerk in a SUV started blowing his horn and the bear high-tailed it into the forest.
