~LAKE ERIE SUNSET~

The entire time I was on vacation I tried to shoot the sunrises and sunsets. And even though the total rainfall for the trip was about five minutes, the skies were overcast in the morning and evenings. So the shots of these events were less than I had hoped for, with the possible exception fo the sunset taken while leaving Nova Scotia. But even in that one the sun was not visible. It was the result of sunrays reflecting off the clouds and rain or ice particles in the atmosphere. And so I returned from whence I came. The sunrises and sunsets over Lake Erie have always been amongst the best in the world. And this one didn't disappoint. Well, you can judge for yourself by the photos. I was right on the lakefront just outside Lackawanna, NY. The entry photo of the Buffalo skyline was taken there.

I got there long before dusk. This shot got my attention, and I
thought I had something.

Then this happened and I thought I was in for yet another
disappointment. Another bad sunset.

Fire on the water

A bird flies the horizon

A gull takes the high route.

This is God's work.

Red ball dropping fom the clouds

Beautiful!

Going down.

Touchdown.

Day is done
