Although claimed by New Hampshire, Robert Frost spent over 24 summers in Vermont. He founded the Middlebury College School of English located in the Green Mountain National Forest near Ripton, VT. His cabin, which is now owned by the college, is a short distance from the school. There is also a trail through the forest named for him. Many of his poems were inspired and written in this area of Vermont. Seeing his cabin and walking his trail were very inspiring to me.
