In May of 2008, I took a road trip to Mississippi to meet another of my online friends. I had a wonderful time and as a result of that visit my life was changed forever. I also met some very wonderful people, while I was there. The photographs below are of those people. I hope you enjoy looking at the beauty of these people as much as I enjoyed photographing them. Especially Mae, or Lady Bug, as she is known to friends and family. She is an angel here on earth and it was a pleasure to meet her and to have some very interesting conversations when in her presence one on one. On another page here you will see some of the beauty of this world as she pointed out that beauty to me. The beauty of this peaceful area in Mississippi as seen through her eyes and my lens. The song, The Blessing, is here because I was blessed with these people for those nine days. Sadly, in March of 2009, Mae died. I consider myself fortunate to have met her and spent this short time in her presence. May she rest in peace.

Then there were three girls, who gave me a chance to relive the days when I was a photographer of children long ago.

In the Park with Mae
I had the opportunity to visit a park and watch over Mae. For over two and a half hours I enjoyed her company. We both had a great time.
