You Sent Me Sunshine Today It started out grey and dreary As fall days do here in Erie. The lake effects of clouds and haze O'er the land a cover to raise. To dampen our spirit and then to make us sad and wall us in. It's even worse when we're alone it chills us to the very bone. Then here you came so full of fun to cheer me up and send some sun. We chatted here and then you called and soon my mind became unwalled. Smiles and laughter did abound. I am so glad you were around to send the sun, brighten my day to chase the clouds and grey away. I checked my mail after we talked and viewed that sun while I walked. It's warmth and yours upon my face near the smile there that you placed.
