~ WASHINGTON 2007 ~

This was my fifth visit to the state of Washington. The first was a two week stay at Fort Lewis for Vietnam Orientation in 1970. The second was a six hour wait aboard an airplane returning from Vietnam. There was an earthquake in California that morning and my destination airport was closed for that time. My third and fourth tours of duty in Washington state were in 2002 during my State Trek tour.

The visit in 2007 covered by the photos and text on the following pages was the longest and most satisfying of the five. It was the most rewarding three weeks of my life.

The pages you see here are dedicated to my friend, Rici, and her family for showing me every kindness and hospitality and for sharing the beauty of Washington during my stay there. Thank you, Rici. Thank you, Merri. Thank you, Mac.
