My travels in 2011 began in Colville, Washington. I had spent the winter there visiting friends.
It was a longtime desire to visit Yellowstone National Park during the winter months and that was my first road trip of the year.
Subsequent ventures have been to the Lake Coeur d'Alene Scenic Drive, the Nez Perce Indian Reservation, Snake River Canyon, Joseph, Oregon, Fort Spokane and Crown Point Overlook, Colville Indian Reservation and Chief Joseph, Omak, WA, and the North Cascades National Park, Olympic National Park the rainforests, beaches and mountains, U.S. Highway 101 in Washington, Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument, Newberry National Volcanic Monument, Oregon, Mount Hood, Crater Lake National Park, Rogue River Gorge, U.S. Highway 199, Redwood National Park and California Redwood State Park, Lassen Volcanic National Park, Virginia City, and Carson city, Nevada, Lake Tahoe, Highway One from Stewarts Point to Point Reyes, Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon National Park, Highway One from Big Sur to Cambria, California, Grover Beach, Arroyo Grande, Mission San Luis de Tolosa, the Carrizo Plain National Monument, Friends in Bakersfield and Kern River Canyon, Lake Isabella, Freeman Creek Trail, Fort Tejon State Historic Park, Red Rock State Park, Mount Whitney, Alabama Hills, Death Valley National Park, Red Rock Canyon National Recreation Area, Great Basin National Park, Baker Village Archeological Site, U.S.Route 93, Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Natural Bridges National Monument, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Capitol Reef National Park, Anasazi Indian State Park, Utah, Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, Grand Canyon North Rim, Grand Staircase - Escalante National Monument, Navajo Reservation, Navajo National Monument, Monument Valley, Great Sand Dunes National Park and Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site in Illinois.
